The best way to keep in perfect condition your Alpaca garment is washing them by hand.
CAUTIONGarments of alpaca are of natural fiber and very delicate, so the clothing requires special attention when washing.
COLD WATERYou must fill a container with cold water and soak the garment in the water with care.
SHAMPOOPour shampoo gentle and carefully and rub the garment with the hands.
SOAKAllow to soak in water for two or three minutes, and then rinse with cold water.
SQUEEZETo squeeze any excess of water from your Alpaca garment first extend a towel, then place the garment above and finally make a roll with the towel and the garment.
CARETo prevent the garment may shrink, do not use hot water.
DRYING IN SHADOWTo preserve the original color of your garment dry avoid exposing it directly at the sun, dry in the shade.

Alpaca wool is three times warmer than sheep’s wool.
Alpaca fiber is three times stronger than sheep´s hair.
Unlike sheep’s wool, the alpaca fiber almost does not contain lanolin, which makes it practically hypoallergenic and suitable for people sensitive to wool.

Alpaca fiber is more resistant to water and as soft as cashmere.
The alpaca wool is rated as among the finest in the world, the thickness ranges from 18 to 22 microns. Cashmere is 19 microns.
Alpacas are free grazing animals in lands without pesticides, they are not fed with hormones and do not receive chemicals.
Alpaca fiber contains microscopic air pockets, which makes thermal and very light weight garments.
The number of fibers needed to make an alpaca piece of clothing are considerably reduced compared with wool from other animals. Hence, it is a very soft wool and very comfortable to use, and despite providing much warm clothes, there are very light articles.
